Delivering Better
The movement demanding safe, evidence-based, and compassionate maternity care.

Breakthrough launches it's Impact Report 2026
In our democracy, too often it is communities with the most at stake who are excluded from the decisions that affect their lives. Breakthrough was built to change that. We built our model by asking direct-experience campaigners what they needed and listening to them.
Three years into our work we’ve backed 16 campaigns, moved 16,000 to action, changed 14 national laws and policies and won change that will affect 13.8 million people. All of this delivered by a staff team of three, on bootstrap resources, in one of the most challenging political moments in a generation.
Today Breakthrough launches its first impact report - Behind the Breakthroughs (opens in a new tab) - what we have learnt about what it takes for direct experience campaigners to sustain and to win.
The people in this report are proof of what can happen when courage is matched with the right infrastructure, expertise and care.

The Nanny Solidarity Network is a grassroots worker and migrant-led organisation based in London that supports nannies and au pairs.
When someone goes to prison, it has a profound impact not only on them as an individual, but on their children and family. And though parental imprisonment is recognised as an adverse children experience (ACE), the state does not provide any automatic support to those who live through it.
